About Jasmine
Jasmine is an employment lawyer based in the Okanagan who advises both employees and employers on a wide range of workplace issues, including wrongful dismissal, workplace harassment, human rights, employment contracts, workplace investigations, and severance negotiations. She is known for her practical, solution-focused approach and her commitment to delivering results that align with her clients’ goals.
Jasmine regularly appears before the B.C. Supreme Court and the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal, and has also represented clients before the B.C. Employment Standards Tribunal, WorkSafeBC – Prohibited Action Division, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, and the Canadian Industrial Relations Board.
Prior to joining Ascent, Jasmine obtained her B.A. (honours) in psychology from Carleton University and her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021 and began her legal career there before relocating to B.C.’s interior to be closer to family and escape Ontario’s long winters.
Jasmine is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association and the B.C. Bar Association, and will serve on the CBABC Employment Law Section Executive for the 2025-2026 term.
When Jasmine is not in the office, you can find her adventuring in the province’s beautiful outdoors with her dogs, exploring the Okanagan’s food and wine scene, and picking up new hobbies.
